According to the present invention a method of grinding based on a continuous and combined variation of the speeds inherent to a grinding process which allows reducing the grinding cycle time, as well as eliminating undesired vibrations, maintaining the surface quality of the work piece in relation to roughness, roundness and diameter tolerance and the integrity of the work piece in relation to its hardness and tensional state is proposed.
