Integrated framework for a cost-effective and ease of Repair, Renovation and Re-use of machine tools within modern factory
Machine tools are used for the manufacture of high added value components, and are therefore an essential part of the production plants of the future. Reducing downtimes of production systems and seeking to expand the performance and life cycle of the products are therefore key factors in increasing profitability and sustainability of the factory of the future. This project is framed within the Horizon 2020 program.
VISIT WEBSITEThe goal of the project is to develop a new integrated framework for maintenance, renovation and reuse of machine tools during their entire life cycle.
In this sense, IK4-IDEKOs contribution focuses on sensorisation and pick up of machine data for subsequent processing in order to calculate the remaining life cycle of strategic parts. Ideko also participates in the development and integration of virtual reality technologies for application at the end of the life cycle of the machine with the purpose of facilitating either replacement of the machine or extending its life cycle.
Development of new methods and technologies for use in augmented reality, virtual reality, machine monitoring systems, etc. Different models are produced with the aim of maximizing the life cycle of the production means.
