As part of an exchange event between the French region and Euskadi, this Tuesday, November 5, we received the visit of a distinguished delegation from Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Led by Alain Rousset, president of the region, the delegation was accompanied by Nerea Aranguren, CEO of Danobatgroup, José Luis Azkue, Director of Industry and Energy Transition of the Basque Government, and Ainhoa Ondarzabal, Managing Director of Basque Trade & Investment, part of the Spri Group.
During the tour of our facilities, guided by Rafa Lizarralde, General Director of the technology center, and Xavier Beudaert, manager of the Dynamics and Control research group, the visitors were able to learn firsthand about IDEKO’s activities and its socio-business project.
This visit was part of a broader business mission to the Basque Country on 5–6 November, aimed at identifying collaboration opportunities between Nouvelle Aquitaine, the Basque Country, and Navarre.
Nouvelle Aquitaine is France’s largest region by area, situated in the south-west and home to approximately six million people across 12 départements, with Bordeaux as its capital. It is a diverse and dynamic region, where tradition meets modernity and has established itself as a key driver of economic and cultural growth in France, with major sectors in aerospace, technology, and innovation.
The region actively participates in cross-border cooperation, especially with the Basque Country and Navarre, through ongoing collaborations in tourism, transport, research, and sustainable development, particularly in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques area.
