IK4-IDEKO will be present one more year in the Machine Tool Classroom run by the School of Engineering of Bilbao (Basque University UPV/EHU) to contribute to training in excellence and to transfer scientific and technical knowledge.
Within the academic program of the classroom, researchers from the Department of Dynamics and Control of IK4-IDEKO participate in advanced training in design, control and use of machine on November 3, 9 and 11. The training given by the technological centre experts specifically deals with mechanical components focussing in on areas such as calculation and selection of ball screw spindles, motors and controllers on machine tools.
In addition, IK4-IDEKO will also present several papers in conferences related to R&D management and Technology Forecasting.
The Machine Tool Classroom, inaugurated in 2008, is a space in which the Basque University gives its own Machine Specialist degree course.
The degree provides students with capabilities to successfully join major R&D&innovation projects in the field of machine tools, a key sector for the Basque industrial fabric.
