IDEKO reaffirms its commitment to equality in science and technology on 11F

Today, on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, IDEKO renews its commitment to equal opportunities in the scientific and technological fields. We firmly believe that true innovation is only possible when we harness all available talent, which means fostering and promoting the presence of women in STEAM careers.

Currently, at IDEKO Research Center, we have a team of 40 women, 78% of whom are PhDs and researchers in key areas such as mechanical engineering, software, telecommunications, industrial engineering, computer vision, mathematics, and data science. These professionals not only contribute their knowledge and expertise to advancing manufacturing technologies but also serve as role models for future generations.

To give them a voice on this special day, we asked them to share two words that best define them or with which they identify the most. In the video we are sharing, you will have the opportunity to meet them and discover, through their own words, the passion that drives them every day.

Additionally, to strengthen this commitment, IDEKO has already implemented its second Equality Plan, which includes specific measures to promote equal opportunities.

Inspiring future generations

At IDEKO, we not only support female talent within our team but also actively work to inspire young girls from an early age and encourage their interest in science and technology. Through educational programs, STEAM workshops, school visits, and open-house events, we strive to break stereotypes and demonstrate that science has no gender. We want more girls to see technology and research as a path full of opportunities.

A more equitable and innovative future

In a world where innovation drives global development, the presence of women in science is not just a matter of equality but also a strategic necessity. At IDEKO, we actively promote and support inclusive environments where female talent has the space and recognition it deserves, becoming a driving force for change.

Today, we celebrate and continue working so that girls and women can freely choose their path in science and technology.
